Fluent's Global Inventory app meets customer expectations by aggregating product data, defining visibility rules, and efficiently allocating inventory. It enables precise retrieval of granular information and ensures accurate identification of available-to-promise levels while implementing inventory buffers to prevent overselling, enhancing the overall customer experience.
Detailed Technical Description
Customers expect an easy-to-use, seamless experience where the product displayed is an accurate representation of the inventory that is available for purchase. To address these expectations, Fluent's Global Inventory app provides the following inventory management capabilities:
- Aggregate product and inventory from multiple sources using the Batch REST API.
- Control inventory visibility rules. An inventory visibility rule identifies what is displayed to a customer based on certain conditions( for example, channel).
- Control how inventory is allocated. Using the Global Inventory app, inventory can be allocated by product category type, location (network), channel, product SKU, etc.
- Retrieve granular information such as the total quantity of stock for a specific item (stock on hand(SOH)) and the status of inventory.
- Identify accurately available to promise inventory levels.
- Identify and provide inventory buffers to reduce overselling of products.
